While working as a driver-trainer for Virco Manufacturing, Inc., I met Ron Lewis ( KC5BNN) who revived my interest in ham radio. I had tried several years earlier but became disgusted with code and had given it up. When the technician class ceased to require code, I studied in earnest and earned my technician class ticket in December of 1997. Over the next 2 years I received my general and extra tickets.

My interests are in working HF bands and working satellites as well as APRS. I hold memberships in AMSAT and ARRL. I am the owner and trustee of the 146.625 repeater in Conway. Due to my employment I am not as privileged as some to pursue my ham interests as I might otherwise. However, I do have a dual bander in my truck and enjoy "meeting" other hams on the road.
